American Goldfinch ACEO: Painting Simplified

By

My Gallery

Getting into Spring now and thought I would start creating some bird aceo’s. Birds are really a good study for painting shapes of color.

Whether you are outside painting en plein air or inside using a photo reference, birds are easy to simplify, and state shapes of color.

The American Goldfinch and tansy asters are painted using black ink and colored pencil.

Go paint and have a great day!
